Fifteen-year-old Jane is filled with sadness and anger toward the world after suffering a head and leg injury that left her with a metal plate in her skull and reliant on her grandpa’s cane for mobility. She blames her (now former) boyfriend, Ivan, for the incident and directs her frustration at him. However, with the help of a new acquaintance, robotics teacher Mr. Carin, who becomes her friend and mentor, Jane gradually learns to embrace life again and begins to mend her broken relationship with Ivan.
