15-year-old Lera lives with her family in Vladivostok. Lera’s father has been working at the Orbital Space Station "Mira" for many years and lost contact with his daughter long ago; he has become just a voice on the phone. After a meteor shower hits the city, Lera has only one chance left to save her loved ones and the city from another disaster. Her father helps her with this: through satellite monitoring systems and the telephone, he seizes every opportunity to deliver messages to his daughter while monitoring her every move from above.
