The Russian Film Festival in Dubai is organised by ROSKINO with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. This project has been travelling the world since 2020, presenting contemporary Russian cinematography to audiences around the world. The project has already amassed 6.5 million viewers in 28 countries.

The CEO of ROSKINO Inna Shalyto: “We are delighted to bring the Russian Film Festival to Dubai and organize the festival in an offline format, so that citizens and guests of the city can view the films on the big screen. The project Russian Film Festival will allow the Russian film industry to be represented in all its shapes and forms. It will feature animations with new, innovative approaches to film making, an impressive thriller with amazing special effects, a drama about the world of ballet and a comedy about the conflict between people of different generations. I would like to highlight that half the pictures presented are animations. This genre is very popular in the MENA region, and Russian animated films are of the highest quality; our animated films are loved and adored by millions of viewers around the world. Russian Film Festival is arriving in the MENA region for the third time this year – prior to this, Russian Film days were hosted in Jordan and Bahrain. I hope that the reception to our films in Dubai will be just as warm. During this period, we are presenting the great variety which our film industry has to offer to the MENA region: our companies will present their projects on November 23rd to 24th at the Dubai International Content Market, the DICM.

Lika Blank, film’s producer («Detective Chirp and the Golden Beehive», the world's first animation project created on a game engine): I'm not afraid to call this movie truly innovative not only for Russia, but for the whole world. The project combines advanced computer technologies, artificial intelligence and the magic of human movement. However, above all, our team wanted to create an exciting, action-packed movie for the whole family. This is a story, on the one hand, about children’s unbridled desire to explore the world and learn from their own mistakes, and on the other hand, about how important it is to give those children the right to make mistakes, while at the same time offering help and support
